Ghana’s coach Milovan Rajevac, yesterday announced the final list of 23 players for the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

The Stars are schedule to start preparation towards the tournament on December 28 in Nelspruit, South Africa. They play their first match against neighbors on January 11th 2010.

Goalkeepers (3)
Richard Kingson (Wigan, England), Daniel Agyei (Liberty Professionals, Ghana), Philemon McCarthy (Hearts of Oak, Ghana)

Defenders (8)
John Paintsil (Fulham, England), Hans Adu Sarpei (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Samuel Inkoom (Basel, Switzerland) Eric Addo (Roda JC, Holland) Isaac Vorsah (TSG Hoffenheim, Germany) John Mensah (Sunderland, England), Lee Addy (Bechem Chelsea, Ghana) Harrison Afful (Esperance, Tunisia)

Midfielders (8)
Ibrahim Ayew (Zamalek, Egypt) Michael Essien (Chelsea, England) Anthony Annan (Rosenborg, Norway), Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Sampdoria, Italy), Opoku Agyemang (Al Sadd, Qatar) Kwadwo Asamoah (Udinese, Italy) Moussa Narry (Auxerre, France) Andre Ayew (Arles-Avagnon, France)

Attackers (4)
Matthew Amoah (NAC Breda, Holland) Asamoah Gyan (Rennes, France), Dominic Adiyiah (Fredrikstad FK, Norway) Haminu Draman (Locomotiv Moscow, Russia)

The squad includes 6 players from the Fifa World Under-20 winning team.

One of the main talking point is the exclusion of Internazionale star, Sulley Muntari. Speculations are that Muntari’s exclusion is as result disciplinary issues. The player was fined and asked to apologise along side Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan for boycotting Ghana’s last friendly match. While Essien and Asamoah have complied with the directive, Muntari has refused to.

Both Stephen Appiah and Laryea Kingston could not make the squad due to injury. However Prince Tagoe has had trouble since moving to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim from Al Ittihad.
